Trustive’s seamless WiFi access is now available to iPad users!

Posted by Trustive on June 29, 2010

iPad users can get seamless WiFi access with Trustive's Easy WiFi appTrustive’s Easy WiFi app now offers iPad users the same seamless WiFi access that is enjoyed by iPhone & iPod Touch (iTouch) users.

Trustive’s Easy WiFi app was released in March 2009 in order to give customers one click access to Trustive’s international WiFi hotspot network via their iPhone or iPod Touch (iTouch) but following rigorous testing, Trustive is now very pleased to be able to confirm that this same Easy WiFi app is also fully compatible with the new iPad!

Trustive, a leading WiFi internet access provider and No1 in Europe, has long strived to provide seamless mobile internet access to travellers via a single click (one pass, a single username and password plus a range of WiFi software for both computers and smartphones that automates the log in process).

With the portability and innate usability of the iPad, applications that enable us to maintain our online lifestyles are key and Trustive’s Easy WiFi app is a prime example: starting with 30 minutes free WiFi access valid at any Trustive hotspot to get you started; an in-built hotspot locator tool enables users to plan their WiFi usage in advance; a simple online top-up facility makes purchasing additional credit a breeze; easy access to Trustive’s online account monitoring tool enables customers to view their usage 24/7 and in real-time; and finally the ‘smart link’ feature, which enables users to launch a favourite app or website directly from the Easy WiFi interface is just the icing on this technological cake.

In addition to all the above, Trustive’s clear pricing policy, which includes no hidden costs and no download quotas, means that customers can relax and enjoy staying connected with their iPads whenever and wherever they travel. Watching YouTube video clips or TV replays, sharing photos, checking e-mails, Facebook, Twitter, whatever customers want to do, Trustive’s high-speed and low-cost WiFi access makes it possible.

Christian VanGhelder, Trustive’s managing director comments “We are thrilled to be making this announcement today and I’m sure that all those customers who have contacted us asking about Easy WiFi’s compatibility with the iPad will also be thrilled. As a fan of the iPad myself, I am sure that all of our customers will quickly come to rely on this innovative device during their travels, and with 140,000 premium hotspots worldwide, Trustive is the perfect travelling companion!”

Trustive is working to be able to provide micro-SIM cards to its mobile broadband customers very soon, so that they too will then be able to enjoy Trustive’s 3G data roaming service on their iPads. Posted by Trustive on June 22, 2010

Trustive is very proud to be able to announce that its international mobile internet service is now available in 110 countries, making Trustive the No1 WiFi access provider in Europe and probably the largest mobile internet access provider in the world too.

Trustive offers travellers extensive WiFi coverage by combining the hotspots of more than 70 leading WiFi operators into one unified, global network of WiFi hotspots and allowing Trustive customers access to these locations through a single click (single username and password plus a range of WiFi clients for both computers and smartphones that automate the log in process). Trustive recently extended their service offering to include a combined mobile internet pass providing international WiFi and 3G data roaming access in order to provide their customers with even greater coverage and flexibility.

This rapid expansion is testament to Trustive’s commitment to continually improve the mobile internet service offered to its community of international travellers. The extended footprint includes popular holiday destinations such as Barbados, Bermuda, Cambodia, Colombia, Fiji, New Caledonia, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Philippines, Samoa, San Marino, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Maldives. Trustive’s online hotspot locator tool enables customers to locate Trustive hotspots using either the freestyle (search by address, postcode or city) or browse search tools, filter search results according to hotspot type (e.g. hotel, airport, bar/restaurant etc.) and then plan their journeys and WiFi access in advance. Hotspot results can even be downloaded and imported into various GPS systems (Tomtom, Garmin, Navman or Navigon)..

Christian VanGhelder, managing director for Trustive explains that “Coverage, cost and easy access are the key concerns for travellers. We completely understand that travellers want to maintain their ‘online’ lifestyles wherever they may be. That’s why we extended our service offering to include not just a premium WiFi service, which is ideal for bandwidth heavy activities (YouTube, Facebook, multimedia file sharing etc.), but also a ‘back up’ 3G internet service for when WiFi is unavailable. With our WiFi hotspot locator, we also strive to make planning your trip and staying connected whilst you are abroad as easy and as affordable as possible.”

“Tomizone is a logical choice for Trustive to access the largest WiFi Network in the Asia-Pacific region,” comments Steve Simms, CEO of Tomizone “and we are very happy to be able to welcome Trustive’s customers at all our retail, hotel and wireless city locations from today.”  Tomizone operates a rapidly growing network of over 18,000 WiFi hotspots, which naturally includes popular chains such as Starbucks and Esquires Coffee Shops, powers the City WiFi metropolitan network in Auckland City, New Zealand, and is rapidly expanding its presence in India and China.

Trustive has spent the last 5+ years investing in and developing its WiFi hotspot network and today gives travellers extensive WiFi coverage by combining 140,000 premium WiFi hotspot locations in 110+ countries into one unified, global network.  Trustive enables customers to access to these locations through a single click (single username and password plus a range of WiFi clients for both computers and smartphones that automate the log in process). Trustive recently extended their service offering to include a combined mobile broadband internet pass providing international WiFi and 3G data roaming access in order to provide their customers with even greater coverage and flexibility.

Christian VanGhelder, managing director of Trustive says: “Trustive has been Europe’s No1 WiFi access provider for a number of years now, but recent network expansions in Asia and South America, along this new partnership in the Asia-Pacific region are enabling Trustive to really reinforce its presence globally. Australia and the Asia-Pacific region is a growing market and Trustive is therefore very excited to be able to offer its customers even more premium hotspots in this region.”

Trustive soon to release new software to provide seamless mobile internet access on the Google Phone.

Posted by Trustive on June 14, 2010

Following the launch of its new mobile broadband internet service last month, Trustive is proud to announce the upcoming re-launch of its connection management app, MyHotspotter, for Google Phone (AndroidTM). MyHotspotter for Android was originally launched in March 2010 as a WiFi connection manager, facilitating the detection of and connection to Trustive’s international network of 140,000 premium WiFi hotspots. The new app, scheduled to be launched in July, will enable Trustive’s new mobile broadband internet customers to also enjoy one click access to both WiFi and 3G networks in 110+ countries worldwide.

Trustive’s strategy has long been to provide seamless mobile internet access to travellers via a single click (one pass, a single username and password plus a range of WiFi clients for both computers and smartphones that automate the log in process). The introduction of this new combined mobile broadband internet pass offers customers greater flexibility and increased coverage, but ease of use is of paramount importance for Trustive.

Christian VanGhelder, managing director for Trustive explains that “Coverage, cost and easy access are the key concerns for travellers. That’s why complementing Trustive’s existing WiFi service (which now numbers 140,000 WiFi hotspots in 110+ countries, making Trustive the No1 WiFi access provider in Europe and probably the largest in the world too) with a 3G data roaming service was a natural progression for us.  We’re confident that by launching our new mobile broadband service and developing this free app to give customers one click access to both WiFi and 3G networks, Google Phone users will be thrilled to finally have a clear, low-cost and completely prepaid, international data roaming solution that they can rely on.”

As with Trustive’s WiFi passes, the new mobile broadband internet service is based on a simple billing model that offers customers maximum control and cost predictability. A purely prepaid service that gives customers complete control over their credit, no hidden costs, an easy online top-up facility and 24/7 access to their account usage in real-time continue to be the primary advantages and once the new Google Phone MyHotspotter app is re-launched in July, all of these features will be just one click away!
